I'm so thankful to have had these few days at Siva

I'm so thankful to have had these few days at Sivananda Ashram in the Bahamas! While I looked forward to the sun, the rest, and the yoga, I underestimated how much I would benefit from this retreat.

Today's workshop leader spoke about how we need to cultivate our own inner peace and joy before we can bring it into the world. I feel that deeply. I'm ready to share and cultivate more peace and joy within my family, my vocation, and my community!

It was especially meaningful to share these days with my Aunt Charlene and my mom. We could certainly feel my Uncle Mark's prescence as we spent time in one of his favorite places 🧘‍♀️

We just finished 4 days of kayak camping in the San Juan Islands (north of Seattle, Washington). This was my face the whole time : 😍

The seal and her pup were quite a surprise! We saw dozens of them from afar, but this duo popped up right at Heidi's paddle as we were silently drifting while observing them from afar. I assume the mom misjudged where to pop up, but I'm so glad I caught a picture of it!

We used trip planning and gear from San Juan Kayak Expeditions. The trip was so incredible and achievable! I'm excited to write our trip report because truly, this trip is within your ability!

I was worried about currents, shipping lanes and upper body strength. None of those were actual problems with the route we used. It was truly a wonderful family vacation!

Ideal weather, easy paddling, nice campsites, plenty of seals, a few dolphins, glowing jelly fish... oh my, we have so many stories to tell you!

They didn't believe how cold this ocean is, I didn't believe that they'd wish they changed into their swimsuits. We were all wrong!
